Canterbury Gourmet Foods is a recent addition to the lunchtime eateries of
Downtown Georgetown. The newly decorated casual format, 17 seat café is well
worth your while!
My recent lunch consisted of:
- Tomato & herb bisque soup with a subtle hint of honey – absolutely
delicious
- + Sundried tomato capaletti pasta in a wonderful blush sauce;
- + Buttered nine-grain bread.
Price: $6.45 plus taxes
Usually there are two additional specials each day. Lunch service starts at 12
noon so arrive early and don’t be disappointed; they do sell out of the popular
items. In a rush for supper? The restaurant has a selection of full meals – or
half meals for the smaller family – to take home. Chef Jenny is doing a great
job so check this café out, you will not be sorry.
