The way we were

Wilber Lake, was the focal point of Georgetown in the early 1900s. The lake was created by a dam at the foot of Park Avenue; remains of the dam can still be seen in the ravine behind the Barber House. Very sad the lake is gone.

Big weekend coming up
 

Saturday May 27th the farth Crazy Outhouse Race will be run downtown Georgetown on Main Street. Mike Holmes of HOLMES on HOMES will be ensuring all the outhouses are up to code. The fun begins at 8:30 am with games for the kids, the celebrity toilet paper toss, Bronco and his wheelbarrow of goodies, baked bean lunch and children’s tattoos.
