Great ideas from our readers: If you find you have a problem with earwigs, fill a spray bottle about 3/4 full of water then add some dish soap. Shake lightly to mix, then spray earwigs. This will kill them, then you can easily wipe them up.

Before putting your plant into a new clay pot soak the pot in water first. This will prevent the pot from absorbing the moisture from your potting soil.
After boiling eggs use the leftover water to water your plants, its high mineral content is great for them.
To keep aphids from your roses, try planting parsley around them. For older plants, the most probable cause for their leaves to drop off is under watering. Where as yellowing leaves in younger plants is likely caused by over watering.
