Cranberry Sauce

 

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • Juice from one orange
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 300g pkg. of fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 tsp. grated orange rind
  • Pinch salt

Directions

  1. In saucepan, bring water, freshly squeezed orange juice and sugar to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved
  2. Add cranberries, orange rind and salt
  3. Simmer, stirring occasionally, until berries just pop approximately 10 to 15 minutes
  4. Spoon into serving dish and cool

Makes 2 1/2 cups
Note: This can easily be made up to 3 days ahead and refrigerated.
